On Saturday 19th October 2019, we took advantage of the great British weather and made visits to a number of bus enthusiast friendly operators.

We started the day with a visit a pick up from Doncaster, this was provided by Woods Coaches of Pollington YK04FVZ, this conveyed us firstly to Wilfreda Beehive of Adwick who operate a very nice selection of high specification coaches. From there we rejoined the superb Bova Futura and travelled across to Tetley's Motor Services in Leeds who had more surprises hidden behind their gates which were certainly a nice surprise, then we continued onto Dewhirst Coaches over in Bradford who are a family run business and operate a small but very impressive fleet. Here we boarded their SN16ORW and this transported us across to Wakefield were on arrival we change vehicles once again and joined Gordon's of Rotherham B18WGS which took us on a scenic drive to Meadowhall and this was most enjoyable. Shortly after arrival we continued our day by boarding DW Coaches of Clay Cross JIG2164 which transported us to their premises were we took a short break before another changes of vehicles, this time joining LUI9958 for our journey to Powells Bus at Hellaby. After a look around their premises at the ever growing fleet we made our final journey of the day aboard SF05XYZ back to Doncaster.

The Lincoln Flyer

On Sunday 3rd November 2019, we visited our friends at The Lincoln Vintage Vehicle Society in North Hykeham for their annual running day.

Our transport was provided by Woods Coaches of Pollington in the form of WA08AOX and this was another one of their first class vehicles which gave us a very relaxing feel to the journey.

On arrival at the LVVS we took advantage of their free vintage bus services provided by the museum and a selection of private owners, there were some truely delightful vehicles on offer that have been restored for our enjoyment.

The Eastern Coastliner

On Saturday 23rd November 2019, we embarked on a new journey and made visits to a selection of friendly bus and coach operators. We started the day with a visit a pick up from York with AM04SEE which was provided by Morse Coaches of Sheriff Hutton, on arrival at the companies premises we were greeted with complimentary tea and biscuits. From here we undertook a scenic drive to Flaxton village aboard their very impressive R428EOS were photographs were available. We then returned to Sherriff Hutton for more tea and biscuits before travelling on to Malton aboard another one of Morse Coaches VIP standard vehicles in the form of M50RSY. On arrival at Fletcher's Coaches we were met by Dennis who is a very freindly chap. Shortly after photographs etc we departed for Hull aboard N2FCT for another relaxing journey through the countryside. We then joined LJ03MDU and travelled onto Abbey Travel's premises to the east of the city for a further vehicle change. This time we boarded LF52ZRO for our journey across to the popular Ellie Rose who operate a variety of great double decker buses. Shortly after we departed aboard LF52ZPC which dropped to us on Holderness Road for a brief lunch break. After lunch we were then greeted by Luke and boarded LK04HZB which took us over to a regular photo stop on Somerdon Road where we once again changed vehicles, this time for LK04JCZ whick conveyed us to Hull Ferry Terminal for additional photographs etc. On returning to the depot we joined Y784WHH provided by Lords Coaches and travelled down to their premises where we changed vehicles for R200MGS before travelling onto Hull and joining S499UAK for our final jounrney to York provided by Hopwood Coaches.

The Mancunian Express

On Sunday 8th December 2019, we travelled across 'The Pennines' to visit 'The Museum of Transport' in Manchester for their annual Christmas Cracker event.

Our transport was provided by Stotts Coaches of Huddersfield in the form of ST19OTT and this was a vehicle which exceeded our expectations in every way possible.

On arrival at the Manchester Museum of Transport, there was a selection of preserved vehicles offering free vintage bus services around the City Centre.
